The holidays are now far behind us, but Little Blog’s mind is still travelling. She gazes wistfully at the sky as a jet leaves a long, white streak across the blue expanse. Then one of those numerous random thoughts flies across her mind:

“Daddy, do you know why God made the sky so big?”

Dad: “No, Little Blog. Do you?”

Little Blog: “Yes. It’s so there is room for all the aeroplanes to fly and so that they can each fly in their own line and so that they don’t crash into each other.”

Mom: “And do they stay in their own line, Little Blog?”

Little Blog: “Yes, they can fly from the one end of the sky to the other end.”

Dad: “How long does it take them to fly so far, Little Blog?”

Little Blog: “A hundred days.”

Mom: “Where do they go that takes so long?”

Little Blog: “America.”

Dad: “Is that the furthest you can go in a plane?”

Little Blog: “No, you can also go to London.”

Mom: “How do you know it takes a hundred days?”

Little Blog: “I counted it on my fingers!”
